| | About the Author: Larry Bangs  Lawrence B. Bangs, president of Wildridge Software, Inc. and author of the A Bigger World curriculum, educated his own five children at home in northern Vermont. He received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a master's degree in physics from the University of Akron. He has done additional graduate work in astrophysics at Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute. His teaching experience was accumulated at Williams College, the University of Massachusetts and at a Bennington junior high school. With his wife Joan, who has a degree in home economics from the University of Massachusetts, he established a small private school. They have educated more than 80 students. Lawrence Bangs has served as headmaster at Wildridge Academy for the past 25 years. The curriculum that is used there is the basis for the programs being developed by Wildridge Software, Inc. |  |
