Math & Music and Math & the Cosmos are Wildridge Education’s first two award winning software courses in the A Bigger World cross-curricular series for middle and high school students. These subjects appeal to all learning abilities and styles using a combination visual learning, narrated and interactive lessons, tests, readings, written exercises, as well as both Internet and hands-on projects.

For each course, you can select from the following:

• The Show me links display sample multimedia lessons.
• Lesson Descriptions allow you to view descriptions of all the lessons in a course.
• Assignment and Reading provides textbook excerpts and a typical assignment for that course.

Math & the Cosmos is a comprehensive program that integrates astronomy and its connection to mathematics, physics, history, and mythology. Among the many lessons, students will discover how distances to the stars are calculated and gain an understanding of the knowledge the Egyptians had of astronomy as they learn about pyramid alignments coinciding with star formations.

Math & Music is an integrated study of the development of mathematics and the application of mathematical concepts to the physics of music. Students will learn a wide range of information from the history of math, to the anatomy of the ear, to how sound waves are processed, to music from around the world.
